The Case costs $50 less and focuses on a thin protective cover. The Folio adds a kickstand. Our recommendation is based on Apple’s published designs; we have not tested either accessory.
Check charging compatibility
Apple lists both accessories as compatible with MagSafe, Qi2 25W and Qi-certified chargers. Check the exact charger, power adapter and cable requirements before buying.
What about Apple Pencil?
Apple Pencil USB-C support is planned for later this year. Do not buy a Pencil for launch-day Duo use without checking the release update. Read the Pencil guide.
